Don 2 Beating UAE 1st Day Record Earns $360,000..while MNIK Earns $240,000

A good thing is that bulk bookings by corporates for the next two days are also very high

DON2 attracts Pakistan also.
It was a cold and windy afternoon in Karachi when a potpourri of celebrities flocked to the Atrium Cinema to attend the premiere of Farhan Akhtar’ Don 2 (3D). Half of the mall-runners were dressed as prisoners in yellow jumpsuits while the other half were clad in black with toy guns in their hands. The entrance of Atrium was designed like a jail through which celebrities walked after attending the red carpet, setting the perfect mood for a film like Don 2 .
Celebrities ranging from PTV icons Behroze Sabzwari to Rubina Ashraf to pop singers Hassan Jahangir and Faakhir, actors Humayun Saeed and Faisal Qureshi and VJs from Mani to Mathira, were spotted at Atrium.
Surprisingly and much to our delight, the film started on time and the celebrities put on their 3D glasses to watch some great action sequences by Bollywood’s Priyanka Chopra. Additionally, the phenomenal one-liners by Shahrukh Khan and a classy dance number spiced up the film.
Sharing his views regarding the premiere, Nadeem Mandviwalla, Managing Director of Mandviwalla Entertainment, said, “Don 2 was perhaps one of the most awaited movies of the year. The fact that the film features the iconic character Don played by SRK is enough to make Pakistanis crave watching it on the big screen. Coincidently, today also marks the first anniversary of Atrium Cinemas and starting from this day, we will be celebrating a week full of new and exciting events.”
Don 2 is notches above its prequel, as the film has clearly pushed the standards in terms of stylistic arrangements. Kudos to the director for pulling off such a complete piece of pure entertainment with trendsetting brilliance.
The film was released worldwide on December 23 and is being distributed by Mandviwalla Entertainment and Tehulka Film Entertainment in Pakistan. It is being projected in 2D and 3D and is showing all over Pakistan on around 40 screens.

Petition in CJM Court against dance with cheer girls
King Khan has courted controversy after his recent visit to Kochi. A petition was filed in the magistrate court on Tuesday alleging that Shahrukh Khan's dance with cheer girls during the inaugural event of the Immanuval Silks showroom was indecent and was in violation of a central law.
The petition filed by Saju Pulluvazhi, a resident of Perumbavoor, alleged that SRK's dance with cheer girls was in violation of several sections of the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act, 1986 as the dance held at Kaloor International Stadium had semi-nude women involved.
In addition to SRK, the complainant named Immanuval Silks owners TO Baiju and TO Shaiju as those responsible for the violations. The complainant said that he felt ashamed after watching the event and that the dance was against the morality of women and the moral values existing in society.
Exposing women was punishable with two to five years of imprisonment and action should be taken against the actor and the organizers of the event, the complainant said.
According to a press release by advocate Siraj Karoli, the Ernakulam Chief Judicial Magistrate Court has directed the Palarivattom police to register a case in connection with the event.

DON 3 being planned?
Don 2 is yet to release, but there are rumors that Farhan Akhtar, who was not so seen on directing Don 2, is pretty keen on following it up with Don 3.
Sources say, Don 2 has shaped up well and lead actress Priyanka Chopra has gone on record saying Don 2 is Farhan Akhtar’s best work ever.
If Don 2 works at the box-office, it could well rival the Dhoom franchisee and the 3rd part will most likely happen. If it does, it’ll be interesting to see if Shahrukh Khan will return as Don or if Farhan will opt for a new actor.
Since Farhan was keen on casting Hrithik Roshan as Don (for the remake), could Hrithik’s special appearance have something to do with Don part 3? We wonder..

Post Singham, Rohit Shetty is not just one of the highest paid directors today but is also in the news for his big switch - directing Shah Rukh Khan in Chennai Express post a successful stint with Ajay Devgn - next year. Rohit has also signed on for a TV show. In a freewheeling chat, the straight-talking director talks about his new reality TV show and his equation with both stars.
People perceive you directing Shah Rukh Khan in Chennai Express as a big move. I don't consider it a big move but a natural transition, just like my move from the show Comedy Circus to Big Switch on UTV Bindass, which is action-oriented. Chennai Express is a masala film with lots of hardcore action. Funnily enough, I've found lots of similarities between Ajay and Shah Rukh. Both only talk about work passionately. When I am with Ajay, he only talks about what can be done to raise the bar in filmmaking here. With SRK, it's the same. Also, both are workaholics and have the same personal trainer!
Ajay has done five films with you. He's cool with you directing SRK now? Why would Ajay feel bad? He's always been supportive of my work, including Shah Rukh's film. He was happy when he heard I was doing a film with SRK. In fact, I'm planning another hardcore action film with Ajay after Chennai Express is complete. I might bring SRK and Ajay together, or direct a film produced by both Shah Rukh's Red Chillies and Ajay's Ajay Devgn Entertainment. I think about things like how much revenue a film like this will generate for the industry rather than fight with people. Both are talented actors and great producers and care about the people who work for them.
Post Singham, you have upped your fee, and your new film Bol Bachchan has been sold for an unprecedented Rs 94 crore. I wouldn't like to comment on the money aspect, but yes, Singham has brought about many changes for me. It's a big responsibility for me that so many people have faith in me and my product. Also, when top police officers call to compliment me or senior colleagues praise me, I feel I have achieved something.
What made you accept a TV show? I had time in between my films. Also I enjoy doing television, as it creates awareness among people about who you are. It helps in brand building. Today, being on TV is a must-have job profile. It also helps you and your projects, because you understand what people want. I found the concept of Big Switch (starting December 25), very exciting.
What is it about? It's an adventurous, action-based show where rich kids have to perform different roles. They are given jobs as stuntmen and waiters, or even taxi drivers and vada pao sellers. The aim is to make the kids realise the value of money. Only then do they understand how much time, effort and pain their parents have gone through to earn the money that they take only seconds to spend.

Don 2 releasing in UK today... 2 days to go for release in India, Pakistan & other Countries . Guys lets wish for Don 2 , hope it stays away from all negativity and turns out big success.
SRK blows up 67 cars in DON2
A power packed car chase scene in upcoming Shahrukh Khan DON2 usd 67 cars, and shut down some important streets in Berlin for three weeks. the sequence, covering prominent locations such in the Capital of Germany, saw the cars being specially shipped from Korea.
The Brandenenburgh Gate which houses the US and Russian Consulates was cordoned off for the climax shots of the car chase, and this was specially allowed for Don 2 while previously, many Hollywood films were denied the same permission.
Every day, alternate routes and diversions were provided in Lieu of the roads that were cordoned off for the shoot, and the entire filming schedule was well-supported by the Berlin government.
The scene n touted to be one of the best action sequence in Bollywood so far.

Don 2 will take a fantastic opening because of brand Don, Shah Rukh Khan and the promos which have been liked a lot. The music of the film has not become too popular, which will tell on initial collections. But because of the other plus points, the opening of the film will be bumper.

Don 2 earns 37 crores already!
We guess nothing sells like Shah Rukh Khan. The actor, whose film Don 2 is set for a Christmas release, has started raking in the money already, or so we hear.
This Farhan Akhtar directed motion picture has sold its satellite rights for a whopping 37 crores, inform trade sources. It's Zee TV who has bought the satellite rights for this movie.
Apparently, this is one of the biggest satellite deals to take place in the history of Indian cinema. It's the hype of the movie along with the success of it's predecessor that has helped it in scoring this big one at the box office.
It looks like the producers have already started their walk to the bank, smiling.

A new lady in Indian film industry, she is accurately Indian Brazilian model and named Nathalia Pinheiro, just recently won the Kingfisher Calendar Girl 2012 label, is eyeing Bollywood and wants to a slice a niche for herself in the Hindi film manufacturing.
Nathalia is also optimistic about to work with her preferred actor, Shah Rukh Khan.
"I am a full-size fan of Bollywood movies and I want to see myself attractive one of the known names, but before that I want to polish my acting, dancing and articulation skills because these three belongings are very indispensable to establish a foothold in the business," Nathalia told soon after endearing the title Wednesday.
The competition was aired on NDTV Good Times.
She has by now signed a southern movie and is in talks to turn out to be a placard girl for one of the the majority cream of the crop worldwide brands.
