Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's fans from Berlin will witness the return of the King this month.

Director Farhan Akhtar, producer Ritesh Sidhwani and actors Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra will present their latest venture 'Don 2 - The King is Back' at the Berlin International Film Festival, 'Berlinale', on February 11th at the Friedrichstadt-Palast.

To celebrate the movie's premiere at the 62nd 'Berlinale', the German Embassy New Delhi is organising an evening with Farhan Akhtar on Thursday, February 2nd.

Hosted by the acting Ambassador of Germany to India, Mr. Cord Meier-Klodt, the evening will see Farhan Akhtar share some candid experiences from the shooting of the film in Berlin.

This will be followed by the premiere of a short version of the film, and an interaction with the media. The event has been sponsored by Lapp India.

The city of Berlin is the main setting for the movie. Shot in prominent locations throughout Berlin, some of the highlights include Alexanderplatz, the Berlin Cathedral, the State Opera, the French Cathedral and Concert Hall at Gendarmenmarkt, as well as the Brandenburg Gate.

From 9th to 19th February 2012, Berlin will roll out the red carpet for more than 19,000 professional visitors from 115 countries. The public programme of the 'Berlinale' shows about 400 films per year, mostly international or European premieres.

Films of every genre, length and format find their place in the various sections: international cinema in the Competition, independent and art house in Panorama, films for young audiences in Generation, new discoveries and promising talents from the German film scene in Perspektive Deutsches Kino, avant-garde, experimental and unfamiliar cinematography in the Forum, and an exploration of cinematic possibilities in Berlinale Shorts.

SRK: I will not tell anything about the patch up.

MUMBAI: Though all's well between Shah Rukh Khan and filmmaker Shirish Kunder after an ugly spat, the superstar still refuses to speak about either the fight or the patch up.

"Did I tell you that there was a fight..no...so I will not tell anything about the patch up also," Shah Rukh told reporters at a pre-nuptial ceremony of Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D'Souza. The actor reached the function in the wee hours of Wednesday.

However, he took to microblogging site Twitter to talk about his exciting day, revealing the best part was to meet friends at home.

"Long satisfying day...dancing at filmfare...shoot with prabhuda..dinner with riteish and genelia at 5am. Best was to meet friends at home again," he wrote on his Twitter page.

Shah Rukh was embroiled in a scuffle with Shirish, husband of choreographer-turned-director Farah Khan, at a party organised by Sanjay Dutt to celebrate the success of "Agneepath".

The truce was intiated by Farah's brother Sajid Khan and filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala. Shirish along with Farah, brother-in-law Sajid and producer Nadiadwala had arranged the meeting at Shah Rukh's house Mannat, where all of them sat together to sort out the issue.

After the patch up, Shirish had told IANS that their frienship has become stronger than ever.

"It was a mutual thing and was not about saying sorry to each other. Since I am younger I can't expect Shah Rukh to say sorry. We kept our egos aside and were gracious enough about it. Being the younger, I should have not reacted like this. Our relationship has become stronger like never before. Everything that was said has been cleared face to face now," he said.

I don't comment on my personal life

Refusing to give his side of what happened during Sunday night's fracas, Shah Rukh Khan on Wednesday said he did not want to give "two versions" of the incident.

The 46-year-old actor made the comments on the margins of a function a day after the patch up with Shirish Kunder, husband of director Farah Khan. Kunder had accused SRK of slapping him at the party hosted by Sanjay Dutt.

"My children think of her as Farah aunty and it has been difficult for them to understand this whole issue. I do not want to give two versions of the incident. This is an entirely personal issue.

"My children will get confused if they hear one thing from me inside the house and another thing in public. That is why I don't comment on my personal life," the actor said.

It is for the first time that SRK, who kept mum as the incident snowballed into a major controversy two days back, has spoken about it in public.

"It is very embarrassing for me to talk about this incident in front of my children. My son is 14 and girl is 11 and half years. It is difficult to explain it in the family," he said.

Farah and Shah Rukh, whose friendship had soured few years ago, also sorted out their issues at the patch up meet initiated by director Sajid Khan.

"Farah is a very old friend. A lot about us has been written in the past two years. It has been very difficult for me to sit with that. It is nice to have friends back home. I am happy about it," SRK said.

"Outsiders think that whatever people in Bollywood do is fun, even if it is personal," he added.

Shahrukh Khan and Don 2 ruled 2011

Shah Rukh Khan ruled 2011 according to Koimoi.com readers, who polled the Don 2 star as the best actor of the year gone by. His film, Don 2, was the best film according to them.

However, Koimoi.com Editor Komal Nahta’s picks for 2011 varied on both accounts. The trade analyst named Ranbir Kapoor as the best actor and Salman Khan’s Bodyguard as the best film.

It remains to be seen if the Slapgate controversy affects Shah Rukh Khan’s popularity.

Why SRK slapped Farah Khan's husband?

The clash between two Bollywood celebrities took on a violent note early Monday morning, when actor-producer Shah Rukh Khan allegedly came to blows with director Farah Khan's husband Shirish Kunder at Sanjay Dutt's party at a popular nightclub in Juhu, which was attended by A-listers. After being stalked by Kunder right through the party, Khan as he was about to leave, lost his cool and allegedly pinned him onto a sofa and slapped him.

Although Farah spent the better part of Monday railing against her former 'best friend' SRK for slapping her husband and attacking him for "no reason", she and Kunder will not be approaching the police. Kunder on Monday evening tweeted: "We have no intention of filing an FIR or a police complaint." Both Dutt, who had attempted to separate the two, and SRK are maintaining a stony silence.

The incident took place around 4.15am on Monday at a party hosted in Dutt's honour by the owner of the nightclub following Sunday's Filmfare Awards. Eyewitnesses give conflicting accounts of the nature of the scuffle: some say the duo came to blows, others say the actor simply slapped Kunder.

Shah Rukh arrived at Dutt's party around 3.15am. A few minutes into the party, the superstar hit the dance floor and began dancing with Dutt, his wife Manyata and a group of friends. He was in a good mood, and even posed for pictures.

An eyewitness present at the party said, "Shirish Kunder kept hovering around Shah Rukh and followed him onto the dance floor, but the actor simply ignored him." The relationship between the two was at an all-time low after Kunder had criticized SRK's recent film 'Ra One' on a microblogging site. He had posted an insulting, 'I just heard a Rs150 crore firework fizzle' remark online.

"Khan refused to acknowledge Kunder at the party. Even when Dutt escorted SRK outside the venue to introduce him to a close friend, Kunder unabashedly followed them," said an eyewitness. "Kunder placed himself right behind SRK and murmured something into his ear." It was the proverbial straw that broke the camel, or in this case, Khan's back. "An annoyed SRK, who was actually preparing to leave the party, turned around, held Kunder by the scruff of the neck, and forced him to sit on a sofa near the nightclub's exit," said the guest.

After a heated exchange of words, SRK slapped Kunder. Dutt, who was aware of the acrimonious relationship between the two, rushed to defuse the situation and pulled them apart. Here eyewitness accounts differ with many claiming that Dutt allegedly responded in like when Kunder pushed him roughly.

Farah, who had not attended the party, maintained that her husband did nothing to provoke SRK. She said, "Those who were present told me that the attack was completely unprovoked. Shirish didn't even know that Shah Rukh was at the party."

In a mass sms sent to the media, Farah said: "Shah Rukh has always told me that physical abuse is the worst way to sort out a problem. It means the attacker has either a personal or professional crisis going on. It saddens me to see him doing the same."

This is not the first time that Kunder has taken a swipe at SRK. At another Bollywood party, Kunder had criticized Ra One, sources told TOI.

The party quickly wrapped up after the fracas: Dutt and his wife Manyata left in one car, while builder and owner of the club Baba Dewan and SRK left in another vehicle.

The party had been hosted by Dewan for Dutt following the success of the latter's latest release Agneepath. Apart from Shah Rukh Khan some of the A-listers who attended the party included Amisha Patel, Ajay Devgan, Priyanka Chopra, Karisma Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan Vivek Oberoi and Arshad Warsi.

After attending the Filmfare awards, Shah Rukh Khan made his way to Sanjay Dutt's home on Sunday, well past midnight, to attend the Agneepath success party.

Unfortunately, SRK ran into his friends-turned-foes Farah Khan and husband Shirish Kunder at the party.

According to sources, SRK confronted Kunder about his Ra.One jibes on Twitter.

For those wondering, when Ra.One was struggling at the box office after its release, Kunder had tweeted: 'I just heard a 150 Cr firework fizzle.'

A war of words followed, which suddenly turned to blows.

Sanjay Dutt intervened and stopped SRK from beating Kunder even further.

Later, Dutt and Sameer Arya (brother-in-law of filmmaker Goldie Behl) escorted SRK out.

A goat named after Shah Rukh Khan

This is like the story of the boy who cried wolf - only this time the boy in director Janaki Vishwanathan's Bollywood debut Bakra cried Shah Rukh Khan.

The child actor, who is a big fan of the star, decided to name the film's main character - the goat- after his idol, inadvertently gathering actual SRK fans at the sets.

In fact, according to a unit member, the animal has even started responding to the name - Shah Rukh.

When contacted, the National Award Winning director Vuishvanathan said, "The superstar's name is integral to the script of the film, as the child in the story loves his pet goat and is a fan of Shah Rukh Khan. The goat seems to have taken well to the name. He's been performing rather well and living up to the name. There are three lead roles in my film - Anshuman, the child and Shah Rukh."

Bakra is an allegorical film set in rural India. It delves into the universal conflict of religious spaces. The story primarily revolves around the relationship between an eight-year-old boy and his love for his pet goat.
