Shahrukh Khan’s friendship with Arjun Rampal turns sour?

Not all is well between Shahrukh Khan and his one-time good friend Arjun Rampal. Once almost as thick as thieves, the two have now had a falling-out, reportedly.

The chinks in the friendship was visible when Shahrukh Khan and his wife Gauri Khan skipped the party thrown by Arjun Rampal on Wednesday to celebrate his 14th wedding anniversary and also his business partnership with designer Rohit Bahl.

We hear that SRK and Gauri were invited but they chose to stay away, sparking once again the speculation that Arjun and Shahrukh aren’t friends anymore.

The fans of SRK know well that in the past the superstar has been like a brother to Arjun. The families of the two have gone on holidays together and there hasn’t been a party that one threw and the other didn’t attend.

The falling-out apparently started at the Eid bash thrown by Shahrukh where a verbal spat allegedly took place between Khan and Arjun’s wife Mehr Jessia Rampal. Since then the differences haven’t been ironed out by either party. In January this year, too, people were surprised to see how Hrithik Roshan and Arjun Rampal left the Dabboo Ratnani calendar launch event when Shahrukh Khan arrived.

From the look of things, it appears that King Khan has lost another friend.

Shah Rukh Khan, Sanjay Dutt to work on Dharma Productions action film

Remaining guarded about his second Hindi film project, Malhotra said: "All I can say at the moment is that I do have a film in mind and it's not a sequel or a remake.

"As soon as I have a clearer picture I will first tell my producer Karan Johar about it, then share it with the world."

The production will mark the first time the actors have worked on a feature-length film together. Dutt previously performed a cameo role in Farah Khan's 2007 SRK vehicle Om Shanti Om.

A source from the Khar-based production house has reportedly indicated that the movie will be a rugged action project.

Khan recently returned to Mumbai following a 35-day shoot in London on his current Yash Chopra film.

Shah Rukh Khan Turns 'Bodyguard' For Katrina Kaif

This piece of news might surely make Salman Khan crack his knuckles in frustration. It seems that when the Bodyguard actor's former flame Katrina Kaif almost got mobbed at Mumbai airport, it was none other than frenemy Shah Rukh Khan who came to her rescue!

Sources claim that when the two actors were returning after shooting for Yash Chopra's untitled romance flick in London, a mob of media persons thronged them to get sound bytes and Shah Rukh Khan immediately shielded the pretty Katrina from the mob. A source who was present during the incident was quoted to have said, "He kept his arms around her (Katrina) and escorted her till her car. He made sure that no one could come close to the actress. Shah Rukh Khan has a habit of escorting all his leading ladies to their cars at the airport but in this case, he also played Katrina's bodyguard."

Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif will be paired opposite each other for the very first time in the Yash Chopra directed flick whereas Kaif will also share screen space with former beau Salman Khan in spy thriller Ek Tha Tiger.

Sallu, why so much vengeance against SRK?

Bollywood's never-ending 'Khaandan' rivalry has yet again taken a new turn. It all happened during Mukesh Ambani's bash in Sachin Tendulkar's honour, where Salman Khan took a dig at his rival Shahrukh Khan.

Salman Khan, in his own 'bhai' style was heard praising the master blaster Sachin. Salman said, "Sachin ka record todna mushkil hi nahi namumkin hai. Aur yeh Don nahi main bol raha hu." Oops Sallu, why so much vengeance against SRK?

Shahrukh's patented dialogue, "Don ko pakadna mushkil hi nahi, naam umkin hai", is our daily lingo. But currently, it looks like Sallu is all set to replace the King Khan's don avatar. Salman was further quoted saying, "Bol bhi sakta hu kyunki mere father ne likhi hai picture (original Don). Rights toh legally unhi ke paas hai, Amitji ne ki hai yeh picture, itna toh haq banta hai."

Salman's enmity with Shahrukh has become a part of Bollywood folklore and, hence we really miss the old Karan-Arjun jodi and of course their friendship.

Shah Rukh Khan visits Ra.One animator in hospital

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan on Wednesday visited Charu Khandal, the young National Award-winning animator who is recuperating at a hospital in Mumbai after suffering serious injuries in a road accident.

Charu is battling for life in Kokilaben Hospital in suburban Andheri after a car rammed into the autorickshaw in which she was travelling last week.

The 28-year-old won the National Award for special effects in Shahrukh-starrer sci-fi superhero thriller Ra.One.

The actor had come alone to the hospital and was there for about an hour. He left without speaking to themedia.

Shahrukh Khan will help boost Bengal tourism

The appointment of superstar Shahrukh Khan as West Bengal’s brand ambassador will boost tourism but infrastructure would be needed to meet the rush of tourists. “Appointing Shah Rukh Khan will help boost tourism in the same way Gujarat has benefited by appointing Amitabh Bachchan as their brand ambassador,” said Nikhil Ganju, country manager, TripAdvisor India. “But in Bengal, this boost in tourism needs to be backed up by proper infrastructure to tackle the rush of tourists,” he said. SRK, Anushka Sharma in Farah's next film

Barely days after Shah Rukh Khan and her husband Shirish Kunder hugged and made up after their infamous brawl at Sanjay Dutt's party at a Juhu nightclub, Farah Khan managed a casting coup of sorts by roping in SRK as the leading man in her next.

Wasting no further time, we hear the choreographer-turned-director has now zeroed in on her leading lady as well. And Mirror can tell you Farah has gone no further than SRK's Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi co-star Anushka Sharma for the prized role.

Anushka is very excited with the offer, and has agreed in principle. And the modalities are being worked out. It would also be safe to say that like other biggies in B-town, SRK too, may have had a say in Anushka's selection.

A source told us, "Farah obviously wants someone big in the film; someone who is hot and happening. Kareena Kapoor and Katrina Kaif were the obvious choices but Anushka has won the race."

The source added, "Farah too is quite fond of Anushka. She was quite impressed by her dancing abilities in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi."

Meanwhile, Anushka, who will soon also start shooting with Aamir Khan for Rajkumar Hirani's next Peekay, is busy working out her dates for Farah's film.

The source pointed out that Anushka and SRK have always shared an excellent professional equation. "They gelled very well during the making of Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, where they were romantically paired. They share screen space in Yash Chopra's next but there, Katrina Kaif plays the lead opposite Shah Rukh," the source explained.

With Farah's film expected to hit theatres in 2013, it would be refreshing to see SRK and Anushka together again after five years. Both Farah and Anushka remained unavailable for comment.

Hrithik Roshan comes out in support of SRK

Most friendships in Bollywood hit the roadblock even before their bond becomes strong. But, Hrithik Roshan has changed the rules of Bollywood friendships.

Recently, someone posted some unseen footage from the song that Shah Rukh Khan is currently filming for, for Yash Chopra’s upcoming film. Seemingly, Hrithik got offended with the gesture and reverted on Twitter writing, “shame on u for posting that my friend (sic).”

In fact, when Hrithik was about to leave for the shooting schedule of his upcoming film Krrish 3, he had urged his fans not to post any pictures from the sets. “2 my friends n 2 all who wish me well, please b on my side n help in respecting n protecting d sanctity of krrish3 by NOT posting ANY pics from d sets! I will b eternally grateful. All my love! (sic),” the actor had tweeted.

This is not the first time a scene or picture from SRK-Katrina Kaif starrer has surfaced. Earlier, a few pictures of the two shooting on the streets of London had emerged.

Katrina Kaif taking personal interest in film with Shahrukh Khan!

We hear that Katrina Kaif has taken over the responsibility of styling for her character in the Yash Chopra film she’s shooting for with Shahrukh Khan in London.

A source says: “Katrina feels she’s understood the character so well that she’s taking it on herself to go out and shop for the clothes, accessories and other trinkets for her character. Katrina knows London very well and knows from where to get the stuff she needs”.

A confirmation of this has come from Katrina Kaif’s spokesperson, who is quoted as saying: “She (Katrina) personally has been shopping for accessories and clothes for the film. Katrina has envisioned her character and knows that she is the only one who can do justice to it. The song they are currently shooting in London will make other romantic songs in the industry sound and look mediocre.”

Katrina Kaif and Shahrukh Khan recently shot a song at Canary Wharf. On the sets she was seen in a short black skirt and a black top, probably chosen by herself.

This is Kat’s first film with Shahrukh Khan.
