Chennai: AR Murugadoss’s Ramana is the movie that had created the bigger ripples in south film industry upon its release way back in 2002. The movie was liked by the audiences a lot that it witnessed many versions later. Now the latest about Murugadoss’ film is that the Hindi version is going to be churned out and the most important thing is that none other than the King of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan has been roped in to play the main lead.
Post the success of Don 2, Khan is on cloud nine. He is already a superstar and this movie has added more star power to his success badges. The film Ramana talks about the anti-corruption subject.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali had got hugely impressed by the movie and its response that he bought the rights of the film now and he is going to produce the remake of Ramana in Hindi. Sanjay wants Murugadoss to direct this venture. Shah Rukh Khan has said ‘yes’ to Bhansali and A R Murugadoss. After the confirmation from the King Khan, the paper work on the movie has been started. And soon we will hear the news of film’s going on floors.
A R Murugadoss made it confirm that he was going to direct this vehicle and he also confirmed that the talks with Shah Rukh Khan got finalized.
The Tamil movie Ramana featured Vijaykanth and Simran in the main roles and the Telugu version ‘Tagore’ starred Chiranjeevi and the Kannada version ‘Vishnu Sena’ featured Vishnuvardhan in the pivotal role.
Ramana revolves around the leading character who plans to eliminate the corruption from the roots of the society and for this he takes the helps of his students who are working in government jobs. The reason as to why he wants corruption to be eliminated is depicted in flashback.
